Srinagar : Police on Wednesday said that ANTF Kashmir on Wednesday detained a s drug peddler under PIT NDPS Act here on Wednesday.
In a statement issued from Zonal police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a drug peddler identified as Firdous Ahmad Reshi S/o Mohammad Abdullah Reshi R/o Khawaja Mohalla Tangmarg Baramulla A/P Hamza Colony Bemina Srinagar was involved in various cases registered under NDPS Act and his activities were incorrigible and accordingly booked under PIT NDPS Act.
Police in its statement also said that the said drug peddler was very badly spoiling the life and career of youth by selling drugs to them, adding therein that he was also involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to youth of various areas at Srinagar.
Stating that despite his involvement in many cases, he did not mend his activities and remained promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth especially school going children, Police in it’s statement further said that the said accused has been booked under PIT NDPS Act after obtaining formal orders from the competent authority and lodged at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu.
