Drug peddler arrested in Bla, Contraband substance also recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substance from his possession.
In a statement issued from zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Chandoosa headed by SHO Police Station Chandoosa under the supervision of SDPO Kreeri at a checkpoint established at Darwa Chandoosa intercepted one Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie S/o Ali Mohammad Ganie R/o Mongam Kreeri and during search recovered 50 grams of Charas like substance from his possession, adding therein that the accused has been arrested and shifted to Police Statopm Chandoosa where he remains in custody.
Stating that the police has accordingly registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chandoosa besides which further investigation has been also initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society and reiterated that it will act tough against the criminals as per law.
