Seminar on Maulana Abul Kalam Azad was held at GDC Kokernag

Kokernag : Department of Education, Debates and Seminar Committee GDC Kokernag organized one day seminar on the theme “Maulana Abul Kalam Azad: Contribution in Indian Education” in which large number of students, teaching and non teaching faculty participated.
The program was moderated by Dr. Mehraj Ahmad Bhat, Head, Department of Education who was also the organizer of the seminar. Prof. Suliman, Head, Department of Botany welcome the guests /students and the seminar was started with the greetings of Almighty Allah (Tilawah) and Naat Sharief. Students from different semesters sheared their ideas, opinions and views on various perspectives of Azad’s contribution in education. Dr. Javid Iqbal Bhat, Faculty, Department of
English, South Campus, University of Kashmir, keynote speaker of the seminar thrown light on the theme and highlighted Azad’s contribution to Indian education in various perspectives and he also highlight the importance of Azad’s contribution in contemporary education system. In the concluding remarks worthy Principal of the College Prof. Mohd Shafi apprised participants about Maulana Azad’s role in peace and harmony and he also congratulates Department of Education and Convener Debate and Seminar Committee Dr. Subzar Ahmad for organizing this
event. Finally participants were felicitated with certificates and trophies. The programme was concluded by vote of thanks presented by Dr. Firdous Ahmad Reshi, Lecturer, Department of Islamic Studies.
