MP Masoodi chairs DISHA meeting at Kulgam, reviews progress & implementation status of CSSs

Masood Stresses for smooth implementation of all CSS , other schemes for tangible outcomes

Kulgam : The Member Parliament (MP) AnantnagLokSabha constituency, Justice (Retd.) HasnainMasoodion Saturday visited Kulgam and chaired the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at new conference hall Kulgam.
The meeting reviewed in detail the progress of various centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) in the district and was attended by DDC Chairperson, Mohammad AfzalParrey; Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat; ADDC, ADC, JD-Planning, SEs of R&B, KPDCL; Ex. Engineers from KPDCL, R&B, PMGSY and PDD besides, CAHO, CAO, CHO, DIO, DSWO, ALC, CMO, CEO and other sectoral and district officers of line departments.
The MP during the meeting took department wise extensive review of all sectors and through a powerpoint presentation, Deputy Commissioner highlighted the achievements, special initiatives and best practices of the District Administration under different schemes.
He apprised the chair that more than 200 playfields were developed in the district and under the Conservation and Rejuvenation programme of water bodies more than 270 Amritsarovars were developed and rejuvenated in the district.
It was shared that during FY- 2022-23 more than 5000 MGNREGA works were completed and the number of job card holders figures to 54971.
The Deputy Commissioner also gave a brief of achievements in Agriculture, Allied sectors and other sectors.
Chair was also informed that the Drug De-Addiction centre and ATF is functioning in the district and slew of measures have been put in place to combat the drug menace in the district.
Masoodi also reviewed NRLM, NHM, Ayushman Bharat, Social security schemes, PMGSY, PMAY-G and U, JJM and other schemes, besides steps taken to improve health care facilities in the district.
After reviewing the progress made in PMAY-G, the chair inquired about the number of left out beneficiaries under PMAY-G and was informed that the number of left out beneficiaries is near about 3400.
While reviewing the literacy rate, the chair was informed that female literacy rate has reached to 70 percent while as male literacy rate reached to 75 percent and dropout rate has also declined.
The MP laid stress on the officers to ensure proper and smooth implementation of all the schemes so that the benefits of these schemes percolate to people.
Masoodi asked all the officers to pay regular visits and organize camps in all the remote and far-flung areas so that the people can avail maximum benefits of the schemes meant for the welfare of the people.
He also instructed the authorities of KPDCL to ensure scheduled power supply to people to avoid inconvenience to them.
Masoodi also appreciated the district administration for working with coordination for betterment and welfare of people.
