Hakeem felicitates people on Urs of Hazrat Shiekh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA)

PDF Chief demands adequate arrangements for devotees, asks People to follow footprints of the Sufi Saint

Budgam : Chairman Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has greeted people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of annual urs of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Shiekh Noor-ud-Din Wali (RA) . He has prayed that the auspicious occasion may prove harbinger of lasting peace and prosperity in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir . He has appealed to the people to follow foot prints of the Sufi saint to imbibe spirit of compassion, humanity ,peace and harmony.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here, Hakeem has urged the district administration Budgam to make adequate arrangements for hassle free celebrations of weeklong annual Urs of revered Sufi saint Hazrat Shiekh Noor-ud-Din Wali ( RA) , commencing from Wednesday ,11th october 2023 , with changing of sacred cloth (Gilaf) on the sanctum sanctorum of the saint at Chrai sharief in central Kashmirs Budgam district In this connection night long prayers (Shab Khawani ) would be performed on Thursday, 12th October with full religious fervor and enthusiasm .
PDF chief has also sought fool proof transport arrangements to carry devotees from various areas of Kashmir to the shrine at Chrari sharief adding that more parking spaces need to be earmarked to overcome traffic jams that oftenly cause great inconvenience to the devotees. “A robust Traffic Management Plan need to be put in place for hassle free movement and parking of incoming passenger vehicles PDF chairman has said adding that it has been observed that severe traffic jams on roads leading to shrine oftenly become the cause of great inconvenience for the devotees .He said additional passenger vehicles should also be pressed into service for convenience of the devotees . He has also urged for ensuring un- interrupted power and water supply in the town especially during the Urs days . He has called for a robust cleanliness and sanitation drive in the whole town especially in and around the shrine complex. “In view of the expected heavy rush of devotees, additional ration quota needs to be provided to the consumers of the Chrar-i- Sharief town, “Hakeem demanded while urging the health department to set up emergency medical camps enroute Chrar-i- Sharief town.
