Jammu: A man has beaten his wife to death with hammer and sticks in Mendhar area of Poonch district even as he has been arrested, police said here on Thursday.
An official said that the woman was repeatedly attacked by her husband with sticks and hammer, resulting in her on spot death. He said that the body of woman identified as Gunzafar Bi (55) wife of Mohammad Khalil of Ari Mendhar was taken into possession by police. He added that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered while the accused has been arrested.
The official said that further investigation into the case is going on
