Doda: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, accompanied by SSP, Abdul Qayoom and SDM Athar Amin, on Saturday conducted a tour of the Thathri area to assess the damages caused by incessant rainfall and availability of essential services.
During the visit, they evaluated the impact of the torrential downpour and also reviewed the condition of the roads, which were partially affected by the incessant rain.
Interacting with the locals, the DC Doda assured that the district administration is on the job to assess the damages caused by the heavy rain and to take all necessary measures to mitigate the problems faced by the people. “We are focusing on smooth traffic movement and to prevent any untoward incidents in the district amid the inclement weather conditions”, he added.
The DC inspected the Bhella Chiralla road, which was damaged due to cloud burst. DC Doda, reassured the local public that the district administration will remain in constant touch with the citizens and responsive to their needs during this challenging time of heavy rainfall.
“Prompt response to the needs of people of the affected areas and providing necessary assistance to those who are facing hardships due to the heavy rain is being assured” he assured.
The officials also acknowledged the need to implement traffic control measures effectively, preventing any disruptions in movement and ensuring the safety of commuters during the persistent heavy rainfall.
