Ramban : To strengthen operational compliance and field-level efficiency under the Swachh Bharat Mission framework, the Municipal Committee BatoteThursday  organised a comprehensive capacity-building and orientation session on the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Rules 2026 at the municipal committee office premises.

The technical training workshop was conducted by Capacity Building Expert TapanMohanta, who delivered detailed operational guidance to enhance knowledge and field proficiency regarding the implementation of the SWM Rules 2026. The program witnessed active participation of officials, including Tax Inspector Sanjeev Khajuria, Senior Assistant Shyam Lal, municipal staff members and frontline sanitation workers.

During the interactive session, the experts elaborated on practical protocols for scientific waste handling, emphasizing mandatory source segregation and the nationwide four-bin waste management system. The presentation focused on managing municipal waste effectively at the source, enforcing segregated collection of organic, recyclable, sanitary and special-care waste and ensuring strict adherence to occupational safety standards during daily operations.

The Municipal Committee officials reaffirmed their firm commitment to strengthening local sanitation infrastructure, improving door-to-door collection workflows and fostering responsible waste management practices across all municipal wards. The programme concluded with a collective resolve by administrative staff and sanitation workers to work cohesively toward achieving Garbage-Free City standards and building a cleaner, greener and healthier Batote.
