Jammu : A woman died after her husband’s rifle ‘went off’ on Thursday in Upper Marrah village of Poonchs’ Surankote while police have detained her husband for questioning, officials said.
Police said that an incident of gun fire took place in the house of Nisar Hussain of Upper Marrah village. Police said that after receiving the gunfire got injured and later succumbed to her injury.The deceased has been identified as Rubina Koser, wife of Nisar Hussain resident of Upper Marrah village.
Police further said that husband of deceased has been detained for questioning and in preliminary investigation; it has come fore that the incident happened due to accidental fire from her husband’s weapon, who is a VDC member, adding that the rifle has also been seize
