Activities in full swing under ongoing Good Governance Week across Srinagar

DC Srinagar urges for percolating benefits of individual benefit schemes, flagship progs to genuine beneficiaries

Srinagar: In connection with “Good Governance Week” being celebrated from December 19 to December 25, 2022, activities are going on in full swing across Srinagar District with special focus on disposal of public grievances and highlighting benefits about various Government welfare schemes and public services.
The awareness programmes were held on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad at Chief Horticulture Office, Youth Hostel, Chief Education Office, Chief Agriculture Office, Rural Development Office, Medical Zone S R Gunj, Boys Higher Secondary School Gulab Bagh, Assistant Labour Commissioner and other Government Offices.
The Officers/Officials of ALC Office Srinagar visited and are visiting different Offices, Shopping Maals, Companies, Business Units, Public gatherings, NYC’s for conducting awareness programs about the Registration of e-SHRAM Cards, Labour Cards and other digitally sponsored Government schemes, so that people can avail benefits from the Schemes and are made aware about the e-Governance.
Similarly, the Youth Services & Sports Office organized Drawing Competitions and Cultural programmes regarding celebrations of Good Governance Week at Youth Hostel Wazir Bagh.
On the occasion, the DYSSO briefed the participants about Good Governance Week and stressed on taking active participation in sports events and distancing themselves from all kind of drugs.
The Medical Zones of Srinagar District holds various Health awareness camps under Good Governance Week particularly on benefits of schemes to ANC patients, Free transportation, free tests and free drugs. The people were also informed about JSY, JSSK and health check-ups. In addition, they were also given awareness about immunization schedules.
While, Anaemia Mukt camps were also held in Medical Zone of S R Gunj, MC Noorbagh which shall continue till December 25, 222.
The Chief Education Office, Srinagar also organized various awareness programmes at CEO Office Bemina, Boys Middle School Gulab Bagh and other Government Schools during which painting competition, online competitions were held regarding Good Governance.
The awareness programmes were also organized by District Horticulture Office, District Agriculture Office and District Animal Husbandry Office for participating beneficiaries about different centrally sponsored schemes, flagship programmes, entrepreneurship promoting schemes etc.
In addition, Special awareness camps for unemployed youth were also organised to aware education unemployed youth about various Government employment generation schemes for their handholding. With regard to Good Governance Week, the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar said the weeklong activities are aimed to improve the public services delivery mechanism across the District and achieve 100 percent saturation under different individual benefit schemes, besides to sensitize citizens about Government initiatives by way of conducting awareness camps.
The DC urged the Officers of all line Departments to ensure benefits of individual benefit/welfare schemes and flagship programmes reaches to genuine beneficiaries particularly during ongoing Good Governance Week.
