Dear Editor,
The COVID-19 epidemic has had a significant influence on the Indian tourism sector, although it has bounced back from different adversities and crises with ‘amazing resilience’. India must exhibit clearly and attractively the diverse tourism offerings of India to global tourism industry stakeholders such as tour operators, travel agencies, and media, among others, at the three-day World Travel Market in London. At the World Travel Market, India must demonstrate that it is being represented as a safe tourist destination following COVID-19. Our country must prepare for the G20 presidency, which is set to begin in the first week of December. The Tourism Ministry must ensure that the G20 Presidency provides a “unparalleled opportunity” for India’s tourism sector to highlight India’s tourism products and share, India’s tourism success stories on a global platform. Even after tourism industry is severely hit by the COVID-19 epidemic; yet, tourism is a resilient industry that can recover from a variety of adversities and crises in the country.
