Sir,
It is encouraging to see the Central government supporting the North-Eastern (NE) region’s development. An example of NE development is the 1.13-kilometer-long Atal Setu, which connects the Himalayan state with the rest of the country via West Bengal. It is an essential component of the country’s strategic framework. Our President Murmu refers to the eight states in the NE states region as the “Ashtaratnas” (eight jewels) of India which is a Pride feeling to NE people. The central government has started infrastructure projects to improve agriculture, education, and connectivity in the North Eastern states, among other sectors, which appears to be helping these states make significant advancements. However, it should also take a look at the health and power sectors. Some of the initiatives will have a significant impact on the NE state’s economic growth and development, especially the tourism industry, which appears to creates a lot of job opportunities for youngsters.
