DM Sgr chairs meeting of Distt Registering Authority  

DC also accords approval for provisional registration of 37 Clinical Establishments

Srinagar :  With a view to ensure proper regulation of Clinical Establishments in Srinagar District to contain the mushroom growing of clinics, a meeting of District Registering  Authority was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate Srinagar, Mohammad AijazAsad in the  meeting Hall of DC Office Complex here on Monday.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Syed HaneefBalkhi, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, Chief Medical Officer, DrJameel Ahmad, Tehsildar Headquarter, Imtiyaz Amin Naik, Nodal Officer for Clinical Establishments, DrAsifa, Zonal Medical Officer, S R Gunj, DrShafaqat and other concerned were present in the meeting.

On the occasion, after proper screening in consonance with the guidelines 37 number of registrations were approved under Clinical Establishment Act, by the District Registering Authority.

With regard to remaining cases, the DM asked the authorities to get certified copies of the revenue records of all the remaining cases and scrutinize the documents as per the laid guidelines.

At the outset, the District Magistrate stressed on taking immediate steps to stop mushroom growth of ill equipped pathological and microbiological laboratories and other clinical establishments lacking in infrastructure and technical expertise to ensure up to mark healthcare facilities to the patients in the District.
