DC Sgr administers Oath to newly appointed DCDRC members

Srinagar: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Monday administered Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy to Farah Deeba and Shabnum Munshi as members of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCDRC) Srinagar established under Consumer Protection Act 219.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Faz lul Haseeb, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Raies Ahmad, AD FCS&CA, South Srinagar Mushtaq Ahmad, AD FCS&CA, North, Mohammad Yousuf and other concerned were present during the oath ceremony.
On the occasion, the DC congratulated the newly appointed members and apart from administering the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy, he sensitised them about the importance of effective implementation of the Act in light of the changing scenario of consumer markets. He stressed on protecting the interests of the consumers by ensuring time bound and quality redressal of public grievances.
It is worth mentioning here that the Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs(FCS&CA) vide notification dated March 17, 2022, has appointed Farah Deeba and Shabnum Munshi as Members of District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission for redressal of consumer disputes.
