Srinagar: A four day extension lecture series organized by the P. G. Department of Education of Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE), M. A. Road, Srinagar concluded here, Saturday.
The extension lecture series was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) SeemaNaz, Principal of the college.
In her welcome address Prof. (Dr.) SeemaNaz deliberated upon the significance of extension lectures and emphasized upon the need to build the capacities of the students and teaching community, so as to update themselves and keep pace with the advancement in various areas of Knowledge.
She also appreciated the organisers for the conduct of the lecture series for the benefit of students, &.teachers.
Dr.Nazir Ahmad Bhat, Coordinator of the programme introduced the theme and presented a detailed backdrop. He deliberated upon to develop capacities of students for the academic study of education with a view to facilitating their active immersion and self-reflexive involvement in the field as teachers, teacher educators, curriculum, textbook and resource developers, policy-making, and as researchers.
Prof. (Dr.) Geer Mohammad Ishaq Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences University of Kashmir Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) S.M. Shafi, Professor Department of Commerce, University of Kashmir, Dr.Habibullah Shah, Assistant Professor in the Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir &Dr. S. Zahoor Ahmad Geelani (Dean #& Head, School of Education, Central University Kashmir were the invited speakers for the Lecture Series.
