Block Health Mela held at CHC Thathri

Doda : On the directions of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India & as a part of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav, the Department of Health & FW Medical Block Thathri on Thursday organized a day long Mega Block Health Mela cum Awareness Program at local Community Health Centre under National Health Mission.
Member DDC Thathri, Sandeep Manhas was the Chief Guest, while SDM Thathri, ErAthar Amin Zargar, President Municipal Committee Mansoor Ahmed, Tehsildar Sahil Randhawa, BMO Dr Gansham Singh, Principal GHHS Thathri were the special guests on the occasion.
The mela was attended by a large number of people including PRI members, ASHAs and health staff besides students from GDC Thathri& National Academy Thathri
In his welcome address, the BMO said that the mela has been organized to educate the general public about the different health schemes including online registration of Ayushman Bharat (Golden Cards), besides NCD screening, Mental Health activities like yoga and meditation etc.
A cultural programme, followed by skits on BetiBachao, Drug Addiction etc was presented by the students of GDC Thathri, National Academy & GHSS Girls Thathri.
Several stalls were also put up by the health department and other allied departments viz AYUSH Department, Education department, ICDS eSanjeevnietc, while Ayushman Bharat registration, RBSK Screening and general health check was also provided to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Member Thathri Sandeep Manhas congratulated the BMO for organising the event for the awareness and benefit of the general public. He urged the health department to organise more such awareness camps in the rural areas to benefit poor people at their door steps.
Scores of locals as well as people from adjoining areas attended the program and were screened by the doctors for different ailments, besides providing free medicines and registration under Ayushman Bharat.
At the end of the programme, a NukkadNatak on CAB and Drugs Abuse was presented by Regional Outreach Bureau (Ministry of Information & Broadcasting GOI).
