Apni Party leadership visits Nigeen, interacts with the fire affected houseboat owners

Leaders promise all possible help to compensate the loss

Amid dry, hot and humid weather, hundreds of people including men, women and children mostly bare foot visited the revered suffi Saint Shrine Sheikh Noor-Ud-Wali popularly known as Nund Resh at Charar-e- Sharief in Budgam district on Sunday for prayers to seek rainfall to end the drought season in Kashmir valley. Srinagar : Jammu & Kashmir Apni Party leadership expressed concern and sympathy with the houseboat owners who lost their houseboats in a major fire incident at Nigeen Lake .

The senior leadership assured the masses that he shall take up the matter with Hon’ble LG to sanction ex-gratia relief to the victims on priority basis.

Mayor Srinagar and Apni Party Youth President Junaid Azim Mattu also visited Nigeen lake and interacted with seven houseboat owners who lost their houseboats in a massive fire incident.

During his visit, he addressed the plight of the fire affected families and assured them of all possible help.

While expressing his sympathies and grief with the fire victims over the incident , Mattu assured to extend all possible help to affected houseboat owners who have been rendered in complete loss in a devastating blaze and termed the incident as tragic and sorrowful.

During his visit he was accompanied by Apni Party Zonal and Block Functionaries for Hazratbal Srinagar.

Apni Party leadership also assured the fire affected families that they will pass directions to the Tourism department and LCMA to help the fire victims by establishing single window so that they get the permission for reconstruction of houseboats on fast track mode.
