Srinagar: Red Ribbon Club of S P College Srinagar in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Aids Control Society (JKACS) Thursday organized Tuberculosis (TB) awareness program on World TB Day.
The program threw light on TB disease, its causes and preventions.
Assistant professor, Department of Zoology, Dr Javid Hussain Sheikh delivered his lecture and responded to the queries from the participants.
On the occasion, a painting competition was also held on the theme “invest to end TB and save lives “. The volunteers displayed their talent in the form of paintings.
Principal S P College, Prof (Dr) Khurshid Ahmad Khan encouraged the student and volunteers for participating in the awareness program.
The program concluded with participants taking pledge to make people aware and society alike about TB disease.
