Rajouri : A meeting of the District Health Society was Tuesday held under the chairmanship of the District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal to review the performance of the Health Sector in the district for the financial year 2021-22.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; CMO, Dr Shamim Un Nissa Bhatti; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain; ExEn PDD Rajouri, Mohammad Hasan; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi; BMOs and other concerned officers.
Regarding the ranking of the district based on key performance indicators (KPIS), the meeting was informed that the district is at 07th rank in terms of KPIS. The DDC asked the concerned officers to make dedicated efforts to further improve the ranking of the district.
While reviewing the progress achieved under the National Health Mission, the meeting was informed that 707703 patients visited OPDs, 48023 were provided treatment in IPDs, while 2948 major and 53917 minor surgeries were performed during the financial year 2021-22. It was further informed that the district recorded 11451 institutional deliveries and 36540 X-Rays in the last financial year.
The DDC asked the CMO to educate the public about the benefits of the institutional deliveries through awareness camps.
Discussing Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram( RBSK), the meeting was apprised that the program aims to improve the overall quality of life of children enabling them to achieve their full potential and to provide comprehensive care to all children in the community. The DDC asked the concerned officers to give wide publicity to the program and organise special camps at different locations to cover maximum children under the program.
Regarding the status of ambulances, it was informed that there are a total of 73 ambulances in the district including 52 ambulances on road and 21 off road.
Reviewing the implementation of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), the DDC stressed on early detection and testing of the suspected patients to meet the basic objectives of the mission.
The DDC also reviewed the progress on registration under the SEHAT scheme and asked for universal coverage to enable maximum people to avail the health benefits under the scheme.
The DDC also directed the concerned officers to take effective measures to ensure that quality health services are provided to the patients in the health institutions.
