DDC Kishtwar reviews progress under Distt capex 2021-22 , Central schemes

Distt incurs 83% expenditure on developmental project

Kishtwar : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of works proposed under District Capex Budget (DCB) 2021-22 and Centrally sponsored Schemes.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal,Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal,Assistant Commissioner Revenue Akhter Hussain Qazi.
SDM Paddar Varunjeet Singh Charak, Assistant Commissioner Development Atul Dutt Sharma, DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, XEns and other senior officials of the district.
The meeting reviewed the progress of projects under the District Capex Plan, 2021-22 including physical status of projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal.
Joint Director planning Mohd Iqbal, while informing the chair about physical progress under Capex Budget from previous fiscal till date, informed that a total of 7542 works have so far been completed under various sectors including MGNREGA, DDC Grants, BDC grants etc.
While giving work-wise details, DDC Kishtwar was informed that an amount of Rs 620 crore has been earmarked for the financial year 2021-22, out of which Rs 265 cr is available and an expenditure of Rs 220 crs have been made.
It was informed in the meeting that the district incurs 83% of the expenditure against the available funds till date for the FY 2021-22.
Meanwhile DDC kishtwar was informed that out of 7542 works that have been completed till date for the financial year 2021-22, majorly includes 47 works under regular and 2 works under loan,4210 works under MGNREGA, 2134 works under PMAY (Grameen) ,52 works under PMAY (urban).
The officer further informed the chair that under languishing out of the total 49 works,13 have been completed ,30 works are under progress and 6 number of works have not taken up, besides it was informed that under PMDP, 2 works have been completed whereas the rest of the 8 works will be completed by the September 2022.
As far as the progress under the PMDP (Rural) is concerned, it was informed that 32 habitations have been connected during this fiscal year.
While giving details, the concerned officers informed the meeting that 127 habitations have been electrified during this year under different centrally sponsored schemes in the district. Besides, 38.83 lakhs Man Days have been generated this year benefitting the 53,821 households in Rural Development sector besides under Back to village (B2V) programme, 183 works have been completed till date.
XEn PHE informed the meeting that under Jal Shakti a total of 586 new connections were sanctioned to beneficiaries during this financial year.
Whereas, in the sector of development of road connectivity in the district, the chair was informed that the Black-Topping of 225.51 kms out of the targeted 310 kms have been completed till date, which is going to augment the road connectivity in the district effectively and efficiently.
In the health sector, DDC Kishtwar was informed that till date district administration has registered 1,27,420 beneficiaries out of targeted 2,21,646 populations under PM-Ayushman Bharat golden cards which amounts to 57.50 percent of the targeted population besides 66,778 unorganised workers have been registered under e-shram by Department of Labour.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that district administration is committed to ensure all development projects/works taken under the district capex budget 202-22 are completed before 31 March.
He stressed on the concerned officers/officials to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion and directed for regular monitoring of works.
DDC Kishtwar further directed the officers to follow the works and bills regularly for timely completion of works and payments. He directed the concerned to physically verify the progress of works on a regular basis besides geo-tagging of all RDD works. He stressed on adopting zero tolerance against corruption.
