Srinagar : Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC )Athar Amir Khan on Wednesday held a detailed meeting with Legal wing and Enforcement wing of SMC .
According to a statement issued by the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Wednesday the review of pending cases in various courts including J&K High Court, The JK Special Tribunal and the Municipal Magistrate dominated the proceedings of the meeting . Directions were issued for ensuring timely filing or responses, replies and for ensuring that the cases get quickly disposed by the different courts. A weekly review mechanism has been constituted to ensure the same. SMC Commissioner directed the legal and enforcement wings to ensure that the cases of illegal and unauthorised structures which are subjudice in courts are followed up regularly and the stay orders by courts are vacated to ensure necessary lawful against these illegal structures. Instructions were also issued to ensure that all the technicalities are properly followed in issuing notices ans orders against illegal and unauthorised structures to ensure no undue advantage is taken by the violators in the garb. Review of all the Writ petitions and PILs with SMC as a party was also held.
Meeting was attended by Chief Law Officer, Chief Enforcement Officer ,Senior Standing Counsel, Counsel for JK Special Tribunal, Counsel for District Courts, Counsel for Municipal Court and others. Directions were issued to ensure timely filing of objections and replies in all the cases.
