Chief Wildlife Warden interacts with Eco-club members of Marwah Dachhan

Kishtwar  : Eco-club members of schools of Marwah Dachhan area of Kishtwar District interacted with Suresh Kumar Gupta, Chief Wildlife Warden, Jammu & Kashmir.
Department of Wildlife Protection organized a five day exposure visit for eco-club members of Marwah Dachhan schools to wildlife areas around Jammu. The eco-club members consisted of students from 09th class to 12th class drawn from different schools of the area.
During the exposure visit, the eco-club members visited Gharana Wetland Conservation Reserve, Ramnagar Wildlife Sanctuary, Manda Zoo, SuchetGarh Border, Raika Environmental Park, Bagh-e-Bahu, Aquarium, Surinsar-Mansar Wildlife Sanctuary and lakes. The club members were briefed about the importance of sites visited by them.
The Chief Wildlife Warden told the participants to take pride in inheritance of biodiversity that J&K have been bestowed with particular reference to Marwah Dachhan area which is very rich in floral and faunal biodiversity. He advised eco-club members to be ambassadors of wildlife and nature conservation throughout their life.
Eco-club members expressed satisfaction about the programme conducted by the Department of Wildlife Protection and desired to hold more such programmes in respective schools also.
The programme was organised by Wildlife Warden, Kishtwar Majid Bashir, and Range Officer Wildlife Sajad Ahmad under the guidance of Regional Wildlife Warden, Jammu, Dr. Kumar M.K.
