ADC chairs meeting of Law Enforcement agencies at Kulgam

Kulgam : The Additional Development Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather Friday chaired a meeting of officers of enforcement agencies at the mini-secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the ADC instructed the regulating agencies to conduct regular checking and lift samples to plug supply of spurious fertilizers and pesticides in the district.
He directed the concerned officers to keep a close liaison for taking collaborative steps to check the menace of spurious trade in order to safeguard the interest of the farming community.
Enforcement Officer has been directed to gear up field functionaries and mobilize the teams for regular lifting of samples and checking of outlets and dealers so that the menace of spurious pesticides is curbed.
He urged the officers to ensure availability of quality pesticides, weedicides and fertilizers in the district throughout the year.
Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, District Law Enforcement Officer (DLEO) South, HDO (Insecticide Inspector) Qazigund, Yaripora and other officers attended the meeting.
