This campaign is specifically aimed at promotion of joyful learning with a focus on reading & writing at a younger age in a stress-free environment. The program was launched by union education minister of India, DharmendraPradhan at the national level and consequently by Director School Education Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma for the Jammu division schools and is being supervised by Chief Education Officer KathuaPrakashLalThapa in the District Kathua schools.
The programme is scheduled to hold various activities till 10th April, 2022.
Under the PADHE BHARAT 100 Day Reading campaign, the week between January 17, 2022 to January 22, 2022 was scheduled for reading & reciting poetry of choice at primary & middle levels along-with story reading & role play as the protagonist of the story but with a different & self-imagined climax. Similarly the activities have been planned on weekly basis for the 100 days.
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation by both the teaching & student communities of district Kathua.
Scores of teachers & students of different schools participated in the prescribed activities via mix modes though it was largely attended by the participants through virtual mode, owing to the ongoing pandemic & restrictions.
