Srinagar | : S.J.M Gillani ADGP Armed J&K conducted darbar of IRP-21st Bn. at Parihaspora Pattan Baramulla. The darbar was aimed to take the stock of the functioning and welfare of Jawans of the Unit.
On his arrival at Bn. Hqr. Parihaspora Pattan Baramulla S.J.M Gillani ADGP Armed was accorded a warm welcome by the Unit administration headed by its Commandant Shabir Nawab SSP Baqar Samoon SSP Commandant IRP-20th Bn., Ab. Qayoom SSP Commandant IRP-9th Bn. and Ab. Hakeem Munshi SSP Commandant IRP-3rd Bn. were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the officers and jawans on the occasion, the ADGP appreciated the efforts of officers and jawans of IRP-21st Bn. for performing their assigned duties excellently. He highlighted various welfare measures initiated by the PHQ / Govt. for J&K Police which include enhancement of Retirement Gift etc to police personnel, introduction of Gift to SPOs on attaining the age of Superannuation, enhancement of risk allowance of police personnel performing sensitive duties etc.
The ADGP also advised the supervisory officers at all level to patiently listen to the grievances of the subordinates who so ever approaches them for redressal of their grievances and take appropriate action on their grievances on priority. He advised them to work with dedication and sincerity and always come up to the expectations of the people whom they serve in any manner. The ADGP asked the Jawans to do their respective duties happily as this is the part of service.
On the occasion, the ADGP asked the Commandants and Coy Commanders to pay special emphasis on the physical and mental health of the Jawan saying that they should be provided hygienic food and follow the COVID appropriate behaviour by all means. He advised the Jawans to take care of their physical and mental health by doing Yoga, exercise in routine.
During the darbar, the officers and Jawans of IRP-21st Bn. put-forth several personal as well as collective problems/ issues including transfers on account of domestic problems before the ADGP. The ADGP very patiently listen to their grievances one by one giving sufficient time to each to express their problem and assured them that their problems shall be redressed on merit. Grievances of some of the police personnel were redressed on-spot by the ADGP. Before his visit to APC Parihaspora S.J.M Gillani-IPS visited Ajas Bandipora to take the stock of the ongoing construction work for the Unit Headquarters of IRP-21st Bn. All the norms of social distancing and COVID appropriate behaviour were followed by all the officers and Jawans during the darbar.
