Srinagar| : Apni Party leader and Former VC JK Cements Er. Nazir Ahmad Yatoo on Wednesday met with the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K. Pole at the DC office in Srinagar.
In a statement issued here, Yatoo said that a memorandum pertaining to various demands of the locals of Charar-i-Sharif Constituency was presented to Divisional Commissioner who ensured that appropriate actions will be taken for the mitigation of their sufferings.
“It was brought in the notice of Div. Commissioner that from last eight months the world renowned shrine of Sheikh Noor-ud-din (r.a) has been kept under lock due to which devotees have to face immense inconvenience. We demanded that prayers must be allowed at this sacred place besides allowing people to pay obeisance,” he said.
Yatoo said the matter of Zinpanchal village was also discussed in detail that has been declared under Backward Class category since last 10 years but due some unknown reasons the requisite formal recognition is still in limbo as the file remains under suspension with the revenue department. He also raised the pressing concern of the students of Model Govt. Degree College at Charar-i-Sharif who have to grapple with the unavailability of Transport facility especially in the morning and late hours.
Yatoo also demanded the problem faced by the people of Sogam village due to scarcity of potable drinking water facility and requested that their genuine demand needs to be addressed at an earliest. Besides, he also said that three months back advisor to Lt. Governor Baseer Khan had assured the people of Yusmarg for the construction of Mobile tower and ATM in the area but until this day nothing visible has been done on ground zero. Furthermore, he added that better road connectivity, uninterrupted electricity and water supply needs to be provided to the people in the Constituency.
