Series of activities held across Ganderbal Nuzhat Ishfaq chairs grievance camp at Kangan

Ganderbal: On day two of Good Governance Week campaign, a series of activities was witnessed Tuesday across Ganderbal district to improve public services delivery and addressing people’s issues.
Grievance redressal camp was held in Kangan Sub-Division during which District Development Council Chairperson, Nuzhat Ishfaq listened to the issues and grievances of the people in presence of DDC Members, PRIs and district officers.
The people of Kangan Sub-Division apprised the Chairperson about various issues including augmentation of power and water supply, better health care facilities, improvement of roads and other demands of public importance.
The camp was attended by ADDC Ganderbal, Pir Muzafar, SDM Kangan, CPO, ACP, CMO and other district officers.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson highlighted the purpose of celebrating Good Governance week and gave necessary instructions to the Officers regarding disposal of grievances raised in a time bound manner.
ADDC Ganderbal while speaking on the occasion said that district administration has chalked out detailed plans of the activities to be held during celebration of Good Governance week to redress public grievances and improve service delivery mechanisms so that people are benefited at grass roots level.
During the day two, ample of activities were carried by the departments throughout the district including mass awareness about the government schemes and facilitating people to avail online benefits of the same.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture department held an awareness program at Zazna and distributed Soil Health Cards among farmers at Wakura.
Likewise, the Handicrafts Department distributed Artisan Registration Cards among the beneficiaries in block Wakura and the Horticulture department distributed passbooks among the orchardists.
Similarly, the Revenue department held a mutation cum income certificate distribution camp at Block Lar. Besides, awareness camp was held on Aap Ki Zameen Aap Ki Nigrani at Gund and Tulamulla.
The District Employment & Counseling Centre also organized an awareness program about the self-employment schemes at GDC Ganderbal.
The Labour department conducted daylong registration of unorganized workers through e-Sharam at block Sherpathri.
Meanwhile, the Social Welfare department distributed Pension Booklets among beneficiaries.
Earlier, the Motor Vehicle Department launched Vehicle fitness camp and distribution of vehicle fitness certificates camp at Gadoora Ganderbal.
