The training course was coordinated by Dr. G M Dar, Associate Professor.

He said that in a country like India where disasters like floods, earthquakes, cyclones, landslides and road accidents are a common occurrence, remaining prepared to mitigate the effects of disasters once they strike is very important. It was in this backdrop, that the present Training Course on “Mainstreaming Disaster Management” was organised by J&K IMPARD for Education department.
Director General informed the participants that such disaster sensitization programmes would be organised by J&K IMPARD for other departments also.
He said that J&K IMPARD intends to conduct training for Aapda Mitra, the volunteers who respond to disasters at short notice and are the first to reach a disaster hit place.
Director General also informed the participants that J&K IMPARD would also continue to organise training course on other subjects as well such as Civil Services Regulation; General Financial Rules(GFR)-2017; Government e-Marketplace (GeM); Employees’ Conduct Rules; Classification, Control, & Appeal Rules; Computer Basics; e-Office & e-Procurement; and demography and geography of J&K.
