Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din Tuesday met with HQ 53 Infantry Brigade Commander, Vinod Singh Negi and reviewed the winter arrangements for the border area Machill.
On the occasion, threadbare discussion was held regarding the arrangements for coming winter including snow clearance, health services, ration supply and other amenities in the border area Machill.
The Deputy Commissioner sought coordination of the Army in snow clearance of Kalaroose-Machill Road and other inner roads of the Machill area during the winter period alongwith BEACON authorities.
The Commander also assurred for required support from the Army in snow clearance, besides, assisting in other exigencies during the winter.
Executive Engineer PDD, Shameem Ahmad, AEE PHE and other Army officers were present on the occasion.
