Anantnag: The District Social Welfare office Anantnag in collaboration with MFM Tuesday organised a grand function to celebrate the Children’s day at Bondialgam, here.
Mir Wajahat, Secretary District Legal Service authority was the Guest of Honour.
Officers and officials from ICPS, Mahila Shakti Kendra, One Stop Centre and District Legal Services Authority besides from the host department attended the function.
The special attraction was a recital of Kashmiri rhyme by a small girl and the chorus song.
Mir Wajahat encouraged the children with valuable words on Child Rights. The District Social Welfare Officer, Dr.Peerzada Farhat highlighted Child rights and particularly deliberated on the importance of self respect and self identity.
A short movie was displayed at the event by ICPS, Anantnag. The movie highlighted the hardship and deprivation of a rag picker girl who desperately wanted to study but due to lack of resources could not fulfill her dream. The movie tried to develop a self image, sense of gratefulness and gratitude among the invitees.
At the conclusion of the function, tokens of appreciation were distributed among the invitees.
