Baramulla: Police on Monday said that it has seized 13 vehicles for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that a police party of Police Station Baramulla under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Hilal Khaliq alongwith Geology & Mining Department seized 13 vehicles (8 Tippers, 4 Tractors and 01 JCB) for illegal extractions & transportation of minerals at Lolpora & Karaham Kunzer area of District Baramulla.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police appealed people not to indulge in any kind of illegal mining activities from any Nallah as it is the violation of Government rules and warned that people found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Police also urged people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
