Srinagar : The Jammu & Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (J&K ACB) on Wednesday said that it has arrested Patwari Halqa Hari Ganwan Gund Ganderbal for accepting bribe for issuance of documents pertaining to inheritance.
In a statement issued on Wednesday the Jammu & Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau (J&K ACB) said that it received a complaint mentioned about Showkat Ahmad Lone, Patwari, Halqa Hari Ganwan, Gund, Ganderbal demanding Rs. 2000/- as bribe for affecting the Inheritance Mutation (Warasati Intiqal) of land in favour of the complainant and on receipt of the complaint Case FIR No. 33/2021 U/S 7 PC Act 1988 was registered in Police Station ACB Srinagar and investigation taken up.
Stating that during the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted, the J&K ACB in it’s statement further said “the trap team laid a successful trap and caught red-handed Showkat Ahmad Lone, Patwari Halqa Hari Ganwan Gund, Ganderbal while demanding and accepting the bribe money from the complainant after which he was arrested and taken into custody by ACB Team”. The J&K ACB in it’s statement also said that further investigation into the case is going on.
