Srinagar: With the aim to redress the grievances and ensure well-being of retired police personnel, Kupwara Police inaugurated an office of retired officers association non-gazetted (PROANG) at DPL Kupwara.
On the occasion, SSP Kupwara Yougal Manhas while inaugurating the office hailed the contribution of these retired police officers and termed them as the inseparable part of big police family. He added that it is imperative for us to regularly conduct meetings with them at PS levels to benefit from their experiences and to work in cohesion for their collective welfare. In the inaugural function, an interactive session was held with these police veterans to get benefit from their rich experiences and to know about their welfare and other issues.
At the outset, retired police officers appreciated the efforts being taken by Police to review the progress of welfare measures. The chairing officer assured them that their genuine problems will be resolved on priority at appropriate level. He further added that Police is always keen for the welfare of retired police personnel and their family members.
The office bearers of PROANG expressed their gratitude to the police department in general and District Police Kupwara in particular for such positive step. They reiterated their commitment and loyalty to Police department and vowed to work collectively for upholding the rule of law.
