Srinagar: Police on Friday said that it has recovered three missing minor girls within 12 hours in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district,
In a statement issued on Friday polic said that Police Station Kheerbawani on 26th October received a written complaint from the parents of three minor girls hailing from Tulmulla area where in they said that their daughters had not return home after school.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 62/ 2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kheerbawani and investigation was initiated, police in it’s statement further said “On receipt of this report, SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar constituted a special team under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Abdul Maajid for tracking the missing girls”.
Police in it’s statement also said that during the course of investigation a police team led by SHO PS Kheerbawani Insp Sajad Ahmad along with the active assistance of Udhampur Police traced the said missing girls from Udhampur and handed them over to their parents within 12 hours after completing legal formalities.
“People of the area including the parents of the missing girls appreciated the swift action of Police in tracing the missing girls and reuniting them with their families”, reads the concluding para of the above quoted police statement.
