Police organizes Cyber Crime awareness Cum Cyber Jaagroota Seminar in Pulwama

Srinagar: Police in Pulwama on Thursday facilitated a seminar on National Cyber Security Awareness cum Cyber Jaagroota & JK E-cop application at Govt. Higher Secondary School Kakapora.
In order to sensitize general public about the growing trends of cybercrime worldwide and how to safeguard one from such crimes, various police officers including SHO PS Kakapora delivered lectures about various advance techniques including internet fraud, identity fraud, theft of card payment data, theft of corporate data, cyber espionage, spoofing, phishing etc.
On the occasion, participants posed various issues related to cybercrime. Officers suggested them with necessary precautions/measures and guided them how they can defend themselves from cyber threats.
Besides police officers, teachers, bank employees, civil administration and students also attended the seminar. The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks. The participants hailed the role of police for conducting such programs and demanded to continue such programs in future also.
