Leaders of all hues greet people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW)

Srinagar: Leaders from across the political spectrum on Monday greeted people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-Un –Nabi (SAW)
National Conference (NC) president, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah Monday felicitated people on the auspicious observance of Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW).
In a statement issued on Monday the National Conference President Dr. Farooq and party’s Vice President Omar Abdullah said Eid-ul-Milad is an occasion to dedicate ourselves to the teachings of our beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) in letter and spirit and work tirelessly towards helping those in need. Both leaders prayed for peace and stability in Jammu & Kashmir.
In his greeting message National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah said Islam is the religion of peace and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the possessor of all virtues and perfect embodiment of justice and benevolence. He said the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) point us towards the path of peace, affection kindness and self actualization. “He was the final messenger sent by almighty Allah to the entire humanity for all the times to come. His message was and will continue to remain universal. An apostle of peace, justice and the seal of prophets, he was given the holy Quran. He was sent as a mercy towards humanity. I pray that the auspicious occasion brings everlasting peace, prosperity and amity in the region,” he said.
Greeting the people on the eve of Eid e Milad Un Nabi (SAW) the National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah in his message said Eid-ul-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) provides us an opportunity to pray and seek forgiveness and blessings from the Almighty for the entire mankind. “I pray to Allah to give us the wisdom and guide us on the path shown by our beloved Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) and give us determination to dedicate ourselves to his sacred, noble and universal teachings,” he said.
PDP President and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti while greeting people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) said that Prophet (SAW) taught lessons of compassion, mercy, tolerance and brotherhood to humanity-all of which need to be vigorously inculcated in today’s strife infested world. She added that amongst all the great gifts bestowed upon mankind by Allah, the birth of the Prophet (SAW) was the greatest and the kindest one. “Almighty Allah sent the Prophet (SAW) as Rehmatan-lil-Aalmeen (mercy to mankind)”, she said in her greeting message, adding therein that “ People irrespective of caste colour and religion can seek guidance from the holy Prophet’s (SAW) teachings as he had tremendous love for humanity in general and compassion for the poor and needy in particular”. Mehbooba prayed to Almighty Allah to reignite peoples’ hearts and souls with the love of the Prophet (SAW) of Islam. On the occasion, Mehbooba asked people to join her in prayers for end of bloodshed and return of peace with honor and dignity to Jammu and Kashmir
Greeting people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad-Un Nabi (SAW) the JKPCC President G A Mir in a statement issued on Monday said that the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was the greatest gift from Almighty Allah to mankind, whose teachings (Sunnah) will continue to lead the mankind at the path of truthfulness and righteousness. Mir said the world needs to follow the teachings of the Prophet (SAW), who taught us to respect humanity irrespective of colour or religion, tolerance and compassion, which need to be strictly followed. On this occasion, let us pray for prevalence of peace and stability in J&K, safety and wellbeing of the people, Mir added and also prayed for end to bloodshed.
Greeting the people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad Un Nabi (SAW) J&K Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that Eid-e-Milad Un Nabi (SAW) holds a special position in the Islamic history which marks the end of ignorance and beginning of a new era of peace and serenity. “On this day we must try to reflect on the teachings of this noble Prophet who said that he has been sent as a mercy to all. Everyone is aware about the prevailing situation in the Valley and those whose hands are involved in the killing of innocents must ask themselves, “Does our religion approve of bloodshed?” he said. Bukhari hoped that this sacred occasion will usher in an era of peace, brotherhood and amity in Jammu and Kashmir and end the era of mindless violence.
Greeting the people on the eve of Eid-e-Milad Un Nabi (SAW) the Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone urged Muslims to pray for peace, prosperity and unity of the humanity amid the prevalent trying situation. Lone hoped that the day brings joy to all people around the world and may the lessons and blessings of Eid-e-Milad Nabi (saw), permeate into all, and positively influence peoples’ attitudes towards fellow human beings, irrespective of religion or place of origin. The Peoples Conference Chairman urged the administration to ensure smooth supply of essentials on the occasion and ensure transport, water and other vital supplies to the religious places wherein congregations are slated to take place in view of the sacred occasion
Greeting the people on the eve of Eid e Milad Un Nabi (SAW) former minister and Chairman People’s Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen appealed people to make special prayers for return of peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir . He said prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is a blessing gifted to the entire humanity by the all mighty Allay .He said his teachings are the torch bearer for achieving righteousness , compassion and mercy to serve the humanity . Hakeem urged administration to make adequate arrangements to enable devotees celebrate the auspicious religious festival without any inconvenience.
