Police facilitates interaction meeting in Handwara

Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to limit the outbreak of Covid-19 and to ensure safety of public health, Police facilitated interaction meeting with Traders Federation and Transporters of Handwara Town at DPO Handwara. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
The meeting was chaired by SP Handwara Shri Sandeep Gupta-IPS, besides SDPO Handwara Fariz Hussain, Chairman Municipal Committee Handwara, SHO PS Handwara and other officers were also present in the meeting.
On the occasion, SP Handwara stressed upon the participants to take all necessary steps in implementation of government orders and advisories issued by health department from time to time regarding Covid-19 containment efforts. The participants were also stressed to ensure social distancing and wearing of face masks and spell out all directions and advisories to general public. He further added that illegal parking should be restricted so that general public may not suffer and free flow of traffic may pass through.
The participants assured that they will follow the guidelines/orders of government and advisories of health department by letter and spirit, besides, will cooperate with civil administration Handwara and Police in all public services.
The chairing officer also thanked the participants for their positive role in maintaining law and order in the District and appealed the same should happen in future also.
