Don’t go back to govt service, it will lose charm of your life : Soz tells Shah Faesal

Srinagar/ Aug,30 : Former Union Minister Prof Saif Ud Din Soz on Monay said that exclusion of Justic Akil Kurashi from the list of nine SC judges appointed recently shows ” collegium act in tandem with Govt”.

In a statement issued on Monday Soz said “the Supreme Court of India has shown itself in poor light by not including Justice Akil Kurashi in the list of nine judges that the collegium has recommended to the Govt”,adding that “the general run of people in India, including a vast majority of judges and advocates in the country have seen this decision as a great injustice to a judge, who is known very widely in the country for his integrity and acumen in law”.

The above referred statement issued by Prof Soz further reads “the Supreme Court has acted in tandem with the Central Govt., deliberately, as it knew that one of the most important members of the Union Cabinet would feel uncomfortable with Mr. Akil Kurashi’s appointment”, adding that “knowledgeable people in India’s Judicial System feel that Union Govt. will face tremendous criticism for its impropriety, in the days to come.”
