Bandipora, Oct 3: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has announced traffic restrictions and diversions in Bandipora district on October 4 in view of the Wallur Ultra Marathon-3.0.
As per an advisory issued by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, vehicular movement along the marathon route—from BSF Headquarters, Maddar, Bandipora, to NHPC Pethkote and back to Chewa via Kangrichowk and Wallur Vantage Road—will remain completely suspended from 5 am to 2 pm.
Motorists have been advised to avoid the affected route during the event, with traffic to be diverted through designated alternate roads.
Srinagar-bound traffic from Gurez/Bandipora town and Bandipora Bus Stand will be diverted via the Bandipora-Sopore road and vice versa.
Meanwhile, Bandipora-Gurez-bound traffic from Srinagar will be allowed via Narbal–Pattan–Sopore–Bandipora. Traffic travelling from Ganderbal towards Bandipora will be routed via Sumbal–Naidkhai–Sopore–Bandipora and vice versa.
