District Admin Srinagar felicitates Officials, Covid Warriors, Students on I-Day

Srinagar: To acknowledge and recognize the services rendered by the officers/ officials of District Administration Srinagar and other persons who have done distinguished and meritorious services in various fields viz. Education, Social Services, Sports, Covid-19 mitigation efforts etc., the District Administration Srinagar held a Felicitation cum Award ceremony programme at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here.
The felicitation program was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad who awarded the Commendation Certificates and Mementos to the Government employees, Covid-19 warriors, Students and Sports persons on the eve of Independence Day for this year.
During the programme, the DC also felicitated three meritorious students who have secured positions in recent class 12th exams and two girls who have participated at National and International sports events.
Among them Ishrat Rashid and Insha Bashir have represented the Indian Basketball team at Thailand and USA respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC congratulated all the participants and said hard work and dedication towards one’s profession is key to achieve success and a unique place in the society.
He lauded the contribution of all other officials of the administration in ensuring a prompt and efficient public delivery system in the district besides combating Covid-19 pandemic.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Hanief Balkhi, Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Yaseen Lone, all Sectoral Officers and other concerned were present on the occasion.
At the end of the programme, ADC Hanief Balkhi presented the vote of thanks and appreciated everyone for their contribution towards society.
