Srinagar: Train service operating between Banihal in Jammu region to Badgam will be extended to Baramulla in north Kashmir from today,i.e, Wednesday, railway officials said.
Train service between Baramulla-Badgam-Banihal was suspended on May 10 due to corona restrictions following surge in the COVID positive cases.
However, the service was partially resumed on July Ist between Badgam and Banihal after remaining suspended for seven week. Train service to Baramulla remained suspended.
Train will now chug on Badgam to Baramulla tomorrow, officials said,adding only two trains—one each in the morning and another in the evening will operate—from both sides.
There will be no change in the train timing between Badgam and Banihal, they added.
