Srinagar| Sept. 12:Writer-Director Shadab Siddiquiโ€™s film โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ received an encouraging response from audiences at the International Film Festival of Jammu & Kashmir. The filmโ€™s screening was met with warm appreciation for its story, performances, direction and sensitive cinematic treatment.

With โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™, Shadab Siddiqui presents a deeply emotional story shaped by themes of love, separation, waiting, silence and memories that continue to live within us. His work as a Writer and Director was appreciated by audiences, marking a promising beginning to the filmโ€™s festival journey.
Preeti Sood and Naseem Mughal also received appreciation for their performances. Their portrayals brought emotional depth and authenticity to the characters, adding to the overall impact of the film.
One of the major highlights of โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ was the voice of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. His voice features prominently in the filmโ€™s poetry narration and added a distinctive emotional dimension to the story. His narration was warmly received by the audience and became one of the talking points following the screening.
The film is also strongly influenced by the poetry and literary spirit of legendary poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz. The poetic elements of โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ resonated with the audience and added another layer to the filmโ€™s emotional world.
Speaking about the response to the film, Writer-Director Shadab Siddiqui said, โ€œThe way the people of Kashmir have welcomed our film has been a very special experience for me. The warmth, hospitality and love we received here have been incredible. I am truly grateful that the audience connected with โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ and felt the emotions behind the story.โ€
He further added, โ€œFaiz Ahmed Faizโ€™s poetry holds a very special place in the film, and it makes me very happy to see that the audience enjoyed and connected with that aspect as well. I hope we meet again at another film festival, and that โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ continues to receive the same love wherever it travels.โ€
Shadab Siddiqui also expressed his ambition to take โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™ to a wider national and international audience, including pursuing an Oscar journey for the film, subject to the applicable eligibility and submission process.
The positive response at the Jammu & Kashmir International Film Festival marks an encouraging start to โ€˜Ek Safaโ€™sโ€™ festival journey. Shadab Siddiqui and his team now look forward to taking the film to audiences and festivals across India and internationally.
