Anantnag: Acting on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, a team of officials of District Administration, Ramky and NHAI and supported by Kulgam Police and other concerned, on Monday held an anti encroachment cum demolition drive along National Highway 44, here.
During the drive, the officials removed illegal encroachments and demolished more than 40 unlawful structures on both sides of the highway within its ROW at Nipora, Mir Bazar and Palpora.
Meanwhile, the district administration appealed to the encroachers to remove all illegal encroachments/ structures failing which strict legal action will be taken against them. The officials informed that the anti encroachment drives will continue with full effect in future.
