VC DDC Kupwara conducts extensive visit of Lolab sub division

Kupwara:The Vice Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir Thurday visited various areas of Lolab sub division including Lalpora, Darpora, Bedibera, Surigam, Tower Mohallah Surigam, Kawari and Nard Kawari to take firsthand appraisal of the issues and grievances of general public.
During the visit, various delegations interacted with the VC and projected their developmental issues. The major issues raised by the public include Construction and Macadamization of roads, augmentation of drinking water and irrigation facilities, besides power supply in the area.
The Vice Chairperson gave patient hearing to the grievances and issues of the public and assured them that he will take up their genuine issues and demands with higher ups and will resolve them within a stipulated time.
The VC said that the poor and downtrodden families are his prime concern. He also reiterated the slogan of peace, prosperity and development of the poor and downtrodden section of society.
Various Sarpanches, Panches, senior citizens, senior workers and civil society members accompanied the Vice Chairperson.
