Mayor, Dy Mayor reviews SMC community centres

Srinagar:Mayor Srinagar Mr Junaid Azim Mattu along with Deputy Mayor Mr Parvez, Commissioner SMC Friday conducted an extensive tour of various community centres in the city to take stock of current status of these structures.
All the Concerned Corporators along with various senior Officers including FA/ CAO Rafiq Ahmed Shah Joint Commissioner Works Ishtiyaq Ahmed Shah, Executive Engineer Right River Works Shafat Khan and other officials were present on the occasion.
Mayor while reviewing the Community hall at Abiguzar which is under construction passed on instructions to the concerned to expedite with the remaining completion process so that people can utilize the facility for organizing various social functions at ease.
During his visit to Community Centro at Sikh Bagh Lal bazaar, Mattu passed on instructions to the Estates officer to prepare and submit estimate before Authority for furnishing of the community hall which otherwise is completed in various other respects including water connection, Electricity supply, lighting and other basic facilities.
The locals of the area along with their representative on the occasion while expressing gratitude interacted with Mayor and apprised him about their required demands for the Community hall. The Mohalla President of the concerned area while thanking Mayor said that the facility has greatly helped people in organising social functions spaciously and conveniently. Mattu also took stock of Community centre/ Marriage hall at Mallabagh.
he was apprised that the structure is 80% completed where as rest of work on structure will be shortly restored .
The status and progress report of community centres at Madin Sahib Hawal , Gasi Mohala safa Kadal and community centre at Noorbagh was also inspected and reviewed by Mayor. At Noorbagh Community Centre Mayor passed on directions to make the Community centre fully functional within one month as the major work is completed and requires minor work to be done He has further directed the concerned officials to complete the pendencies in all the Community centres on account of water supply, Electricity, furnishing and other basic facilities to be put in place and also submit report of all the community centres where work is under process and requires the final touch for its final completion.
