Realising A Mother

A medical doctor gets a blessed opportunity to realise a mother many a times during his career. A doctor while reading the chapter of foetal circulation( the blood circulation of a foetus while in the womb of mother), would have realised — how a mother faces struggles in giving birth to him and it would have sometimes become very difficult for him to control tears. The happiness of a mother following the delivery of her baby (whom she has been handling and nourishing in her womb for almost 9 months), was over covering that suffering as if the mother had suffered none before giving birth to a new life. On witnessing this new life, a mother feels blessed and hopeful. She becomes overwhelmed with joy as if a new sun has rose to enlighten her. We have to realise that pain and suffering that our mother has been through while giving us life. We have to realise that happiness and hope that our mother felt on giving life to us. It is our moral duty to be respectful, obedient, caring and loving to our mother. How much you play this role as a son/daughter, I believe it is one of the important measurements of success in this world. Sometime back during my interview in a live morning show on Doordarshan Srinagar, when I was asked about my mom I replied being highly emotional “My mom is a house wife. My mom has NOT been to school ever, but I would say I am fortunate and lucky enough that my mom is a noble school in herself because she is blessed with the enlightened knowledge of Quran.
While I used to be in sleep yet, I could listen to the voice of my mom during midnight doing Tilawat – e-Quran and praying for me with uncontrolled weeping tears rolling down her face like a river. Whatever I have achieved a little in my life so far, I think that is because of the blessings of Almighty Allah and those wet – eyed heart full prayers of my mom.” Whosoever had watched to that interview on Doordarshan, I could get messages later that this reply made them emotional. Because mom is the ultimate blessing and by her blessings, you grow, nurture and attain pinnacles of success in your life.
