Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, Saturday conducted an extensive tour of tfar off areas of the district to review snow clearance operations, restoration of essential services, status of essential commodities and healthcare services.
The DC visited Danganwangam, Kachdoora and other adjoining areas of the district to personally monitor snow clearance operations and enquire from people about the restoration of services besides availability of essential commodities.
With regard to snow clearance operations, the DC saidthe majority of roads have been cleared and all men and machinery including snow cutters have been pressed into service to clear the remaining roads forthwith.
