G’bal: Following heavy Snowfall, the District Administration Ganderbal acted instantly and pressed into service all the available men and machinery to ensure restoration and minimum disruption of essential services in the district.
To ensure essential services are restored in a bare minimum time, the Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shafqat Iqbal gave clear directions to the officials to take all requisite measures and they were also directed to ensure their presence at their concerned headquarters so that grievances of the people are redressed well on time.
To have a firsthand appraisal of the situation, the DC visited several areas of the district to monitor the snow clearance operation and restoration of essential services and assessment of requirements in the affected areas. The field functionaries were given necessary instruction regarding redressal of public issues.
Meanwhile, DC informed that all men and machinery are on job to restore essential services and snow clearance operations are also going on in full swing.
He said Most of the services are restored besides almost all main roads of the district are open and hopefully other services in affected areas shall be restored in the district as soon as possible.
