DC B’la reviews snow clearance measures, restoration of essential services

Baramulla: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of snow clearance measures and restoration of essential services in the district.
During the meeting, DC took a comprehensive review of various related matters during which he directed for mobilisation of additional men and machinery so that all major and link roads are cleared on war footing basis so that people may not face any inconvenience.
He also took a detailed review of various essential services including water, power and other services wherein he emphasised for restoring it within the shortest possible time, wherever it got disrupted.
Meanwhile, DC also took a brief account of health and medicare services in the district during which he stressed on providing qualitative and efficient medicare services to the people so that they do not have to suffer in present circumstances.
It was informed that the health department has launched an emergency health mobilisation program wherein critical patients more especially pregnant women of remote areas were shifted to some designated health centres well in advance so that any kind of exigency is averted.
