This amazing anthology is compiled by a young author of Kashmir Zahid Majeed Lone. He is the author of “A Gift To Muslim youth”. Doing such a great job in this pandemic, enhance the quality of imagination of youth and other members of society. The compiler gives platform to near about 25 authors. The best thing is it gives identity to every writer. It contains their brief introduction with picture. The title of this book is beautiful and deep “Broken soul “. How beautifully Author has connected different pieces of writing and gives them a rhythm and infuse a spirit in it. Most important fact of this anthology is that it is collection of three languages- English, Urdu & Kashmiri. I personally think that “Broken soul” is a deep sea in which we found colourful pearls of different kinds. A lovely collection of prose and poetry. It’s a precious gift for a person who has good taste of literature. Different authors from different cultures contributed their views in this book and give it a uniqueness .Some authors breath pain in this book .Look at these heart touching lines written by a talented author Sufaya yousuf ” I cry and cry loudly touching the sky , cry like a king whose kingdom is devastated .” What we are it’s only because of our supper mom’s.
A writer says about her “Even take her criticism as a blessing because she is your mother.” A 8th class student share her views about Kashmir. It’s only coz of this anthology; her creative and fantastic views come forward. “It is no longer the paradise on earth but the largest prison house “. Syed Tanveer says “It’s is a paradise where angels are thrashed.” It is full of inspiration a slap a conservative and negative thinking .One of our author dedicated these beautiful words to a girl child he says “yes sure, none but a girl child , The candle of universe”. I also shared a short story about the hard work of a girl “a common village girl saved the world.” “Broken soul” also contains best pieces of Urdu poetry. It’s a gem for urdu lovers. It’s a mixture of painful and moral poems. It is a good book for all age groups in fact best one. Everyone can easily understand this book. I recommended it especially to our young generation .It will definitely enhance your quality of thanking and imagination and you will enjoy it.
